School Psychologist
School psychologists support students' learning, behavior, and mental health. They work closely with families, educators, and other support staff to help every child succeed in school—socially, emotionally, and academically.
Here’s how school psychologists help students:
- Assess learning and behavioral needs to identify supports
- Help develop individual education plans (IEPs) and other student services
- Provide short-term counseling and behavior support
- Assist with social-emotional learning and skill building
- Work with staff and families to create safe, positive learning environments
- Support students through challenges such as anxiety, trauma, or grief
School psychologists are problem-solvers and advocates who help ensure every student can learn and thrive.
